SLOPE STABILITY COMMISSION EXTENDED

We are very pleased that following an initial review of slope stability issues below a proposed housing development on a confidential site, we have been appointed to undertake more extensive works.  This is to include a geomorphological study, assist with ground investigation design, and complete detailed stability assessments to support the development of the scheme design and programme.   Further details of the project will be released in due course.

If you need any support on slopes or earthworks projects on your developments then feel free to call our Dr Andy Goodwin to discuss how we could assist and add value.

SLOPE STABILITY ASSESSMENT

We have recently been appointed to undertake a review of a slope below a proposed housing development on a confidential site.  Previous assessments have cast doubt on the stability of the slope and we are to critically review the existing data and site conditions, and to comment on possible remedial options.  Further details of the project will be released in due course.

If you need any support on slopes or earthworks projects on your developments then feel free to call our Dr Andy Goodwin to discuss how we could assist and add value.

RETAINING WALL DESIGN ROLE

Over recent months we have been working with another consultant in a sub-consultancy role, helping them develop a retaining wall solution for a difficult site over chalk in south east England, and certifying the design in compliance with BD2/12.  The role includes liaison with the local authority, and compliance with their procedures.   More details of the project will be released in due course so watch this space!

PEER REVIEW ROLE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF FORMER OPENCAST SITE

We have been working for several months now as a peer reviewer with a large developer to help with the preparation of an engineering solution for a complex site in the East Midlands. The site contains deep areas of uncompacted opencast backfill, which coupled with level, groundwater and fill variability issues presents significant challenges.  We have been involved with the review of potential solutions put forward by others, working collaboratively to constructively challenge ideas and assist in their development.  The work is continuing  and we look forward to being able to provide more details in the near future.

If you think we could assist you by providing a similar peer review service then please contact Dr Andy Goodwin on 01246 807808.
